Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Bike Week
During Bike Week, all classes take part in a fun, active, and hands-on learning experience using either our school bikes or their own. Throughout the week, students learn essential bike-safety skills, including how to follow road rules, communicate clearly with other riders, and interact safely with both pedestrians and traffic.
A specially designed track is set up around the school, giving students a realistic but controlled environment to practise their skills. Here, they navigate turns, signals, crossings, and shared-path scenarios that help them build awareness and independence.
Book Week
Each year we celebrate the world of books during Book week. The students and staff dress up as their favourite book characters.
Lantern Walk
Each year around the winter solstice we hold Lantern Walk. On the night, families and school community members gather to share a meal then walk through the grounds carrying lanterns, symbolically calling back the light to the earth. There are light installations along the track made by families and each class prepares an installation that lights the areas around the school buildings.
It’s a magical evening, you won’t want to miss.
"We love our school for its supportive community and commitment to every student’s success. Our child feels safe and inspired every day." — a parent of Berrima Public School
