Student Representative Council

Ownership by the student body and school pride are two very strong elements of the Berrima Public School ethos. To provide students with a voice to be a part of the decision making process in our school, we have a Student Representative Council (SRC ). Students from Year 2 to Year 6 elect representatives from their class to attend regular meetings of the council.

Here students are able to raise concerns they may hold, they can make suggestions to improve some aspect of playground procedure or suggest equipment repairs or upgrade. They are also encouraged to come up with suggestions for fund raising activities for causes both within and external to the school community.

The SRC are an integral part of deciding the reward for the regular Cygnet Award reward. This is a whole school reward based on our Positive behaviour for Success program.
